The Only Acceptable Message for Salvation

Why is the Gospel for Salvation the only acceptable Message for Salvation?

What makes the Gospel Message so important? Is it not sufficient to simply say that if you accept Jesus you are saved? or Jesus died for you? Does it really matter what you believe or just that you believe? To understand why it is so important to accurately present the gospel for salvation today, which is Christ died for your sins, was buried, and rose again on the third day according to the Scriptures, we are going to look at what God has said throughout the Scripture and the affects on men who either modify God’s word, completely ignore it, or followed exactly what He said.

After renovating the earth [1] due to the fall and judgment of Lucifer who once reigned over the entire created universe as God’s anointed Cherub[2], God planted a garden in Eden[3] and created Adam to tend to the garden[4]. Prior to God building the woman from Adam, He gave instruction to him on how he was expected to govern his life and the consequences of failing to obey His word. Communicating our Needs and Desires to the Father

One of the ways we communicate with the Father is to make a request on our behalf or for the benefit of another.

To Receive What You Ask for, we are to ask according to His desirous will

And this is the confidence which we have towards Him, that if, perhaps, we ask, as a lessor to a greater, something according to His desirous will, He hears us. And if, perhaps, we intuitively know that He hears us, that which perhaps we asked for ourselves we intuitively know that we will have the thing asked for which we ask from Him, 1 John 5:14 – 16

We are to ask in faith

Taking God at His word. He states that if we ask according to His desirous will we will have what we have requested.

When asking for wisdom Scripture states  …but let him ask in faith, without doubting, for the doubting one yields as a wave of the sea driven by the wind and tossed, James 1:6

 God is able to provide beyond what we could even consider possible. God spoke the universe into existence, what could you possibly ask that is beyond His natural ability to perform?

Now to the one having the natural ability to do exceedingly above all things which we ask for ourselves or think, according to the natural ability, the one working in us, Ephesians 3:20

Notice: No response from God is not an answer to your request, it means He did not hear you.

In Greek Class on Thursdays – there is room to join online if you cannot make it to the church – we were discussing Romans 9:22. This quick comment is based upon our development of this passage through examining the Greek grammar and words to determine its meaning and proper application.

God elected some to salvation; does He also elect some to condemnation? Why is that God has chosen to harden some, rather than show mercy to them? Can a just God harden a man’s heart and then judge him for rejecting God?

In the book of Romans, Paul discusses the choices that God has when dealing with mankind. Since God is sovereign, He can do as He pleases with men without taking away the responsibility of man to obey His Word[1] or the liability when he does not obey. In chapter nine of Romans, Paul repeats what was stated to Moses, “I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy and I will show compassion to whom I will show compassion”[2]. Whether or not God shows mercy to a person is not dependent upon if a man desires mercy or works for mercy, it is solely based upon God’s choice[3]. He is not obligated to save anyone. The remaining, my brethren, be caused to be empowered in Christ and in the might of His strength. Clothe yourself with the full armor from God facing your ability to stand facing the methodologies of the slanderer. For our wrestling is not facing blood and flesh, but facing rulers, facing authorities, facing world powers of darkness of this age, facing the spiritually malignant evil in the heavens. Because of this, all of you take up the whole armor from God, in order that all of you should be enabled to stand in the malignantly evil day and having for yourself worked out all to stand. Therefore, all of you stand having girded your loins in truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having bound up the feet with the preparation of the Gospel of peace.
