The Dispensation of Conscience

In the Second Dispensation, now that man has the knowledge of good and evil, through his conscience he is to seek out and do good.

Rules for the Second DispensationCain is the Steward of the Dispensation of Conscience.

God gives Cain instructions concerning how he, and those of the household, are to govern their lives. After Cain attempted to offer the works of his hands as a peace offering to God. When God rejects the offer, Cain is very upset. God speaks to him at this time, giving him specific instruction concerning the standard he is to live by.

Whether if you do good, you will be lifted up, but if you do not do good, the sin at the opening is laying and unto you its desire and you are to rule over it, Genesis 4:7

Failure of the Steward:

Rather than doing what is good and offering a peace offering according to how God stated it was to be offered, Cain slays his brother as a sacrifice, since he is seen as righteous. When God confronts Cain on what he has done and punishes him, his response is that his sin nature is very difficult to manage.

Genesis 4:13 – And Cain said to Jehovah, “My perversity is greater than I can bear.”

The reason Cain offered the works of his hand rather than a lamb out from faith was more than just someone wanting recognition for what they had done. Satan had persuaded Cain to follow him rather than God. Cain’s actions were out from what Satan wanted. In his frustration for not getting what he wanted, Cain slew his brother as a sacrifice, which was a result of him not controlling his sin nature.

1 John 3:2 not just as Cain who was out from the malignantly evil one and slew his brother. And what favor did he slay him? because his works were malignantly evil but the [works] of his brother just.

Abel’s sacrifice was by faith, Cain’s was not. Hebrews 11:4 By faith Abel offered to God a better sacrifice than Cain, through which he obtained a witness to be righteous, upon the basis of his gifts from God, [the] One testifying. And through it [ the sacrifice], after having died, yet he speaks for himself.

God’s punishment upon Cain and Cain’s rejection of God

Because Cain slew his brother, God told him that when he tills the ground it will no longer produce for him and he will be one who shakes and wanders upon the earth. Genesis 4:11,12 And now you are a cursed one from the earth which has opened its mouth to receive blood of your brother from your hand. When you till the land it will not produce to give its strength to you. A shaking one and a wandering on you will become on the earth.

Rather than obeying God, Cain builds a city and the first world system begins.

Genesis 4:17 And Cain knew his wife and she conceived and she born Enoch, and he built a city and called the name of the city as the name of his son Enoch.

The World System is a system setup by Satan to control the sin nature of mankind and bring about what he desires.

Commerce: Jabal was the father of those who dwelt in tents and [had] cattle, Genesis 4:20

Culture: Jubal was the father of all that handled the harp and organ, Genesis 4:21

Industry: Tubalcain a forger of all instruments of brass and iron, Genesis 4:22

Judicial: Lamech’s declaration of his righteousness for killing a young man that attempted to kill him, Genesis 4:23, 24

The Rejection of God by the Household

Every formation of the thought of men’s hearts were evil all day long, Genesis 6:5.

They rejected good and sought after evil. The whole earth was corrupt and filled with wrong doing, Genesis 6:6, and all flesh was corrupted, Genesis 6:12.

The Corruption of all Flesh

Fallen spirit being attempted to corrupt the seed of the woman to prevent God’s punishment coming upon them. In Genesis 3:15 God made a promise to Satan that would also affect all those who followed him. And I will put enmity between you and between the woman and between your seed and between her seed, He will crush your head you will crush His heal.

Romans 16:20 And the God of the peace will crush the Satan under your feet with speed …

Some of the fallen spirit beings sought to corrupt the seed by creating mutants (giants) through forcibly taking the daughters of men to bear these abominations.

and the sons of Elohim saw the daughters of men that they were good and they took to them women from all who they chose, Genesis 6:2.

There were mutants (giants) on the earth in those days and after thus when the sons of Elohim entered unto the daughters of men and they bore to them. These mighty ones who were of old, high born men of a name, Genesis 6:4.

In addition to doing this before the flood, they also sought again to do it after the flood. Although they go by different names depending upon the language of the people, Scripture calls them fallen ones (Rephaim). Even at the time of Israel entering the land we still see some of these abominations upon the earth. Goliath was one of the Rephaim.
