9.1 And Saul yet breathing a threat and murder unto the disciples of the Lord, after going to the high priest, 9.2 asked from him a letter unto Damascus towards the synagogues so that if perhaps he found some of the way being both men and women, after binding them, he should lead them to Jerusalem. 9.3 And in the journey, he came near to Damascus and suddenly shining around him a light from the heaven. 9.4 And after falling upon the ground, he heard a voice saying to him, “Saul, Saul, why do you persecute Me?” 9.5 And he said, “Who are you sir?” And the Lord said, “I am Jesus whom you persecute.” 9.6 But you stand and enter into the city and I will speak with you, what it is necessary for you to do. 9.7 And the men, the ones journeying with him stood speechless, on the one hand hearing a sound, on the other hand not watching anyone. 9.8 And Saul rose up from the ground, after opening his eyes he saw no one, And while they led him by the hand they entered into Damascus. 9.9 And he was three days without seeing and he did not eat nor drink. 9.10 And there was a certain disciple in Damascus named Ananias, and the Lord said to him in a vision, “Ananias.” And he said, “Look with discernment, it is I, sir.” 9.11 And the Lord said to him, “After raising up go upon the narrow way, the one called Straight, and seek in the house of Judas one called Saul, a Tarsian, for look with discernment he is praying, 9.12 and he saw in a vision a man named Ananias coming and laying his hands upon him, thus he would see again.” 9.13 And Ananias answered, “Lord, I have heard from many concerning this man, he has done so much wrong to your saints in Jerusalem 9.14 and now he has authority from the high priest to bind all who call upon Your name.” 9.15 And the Lord said toward him, “Proceed, because this one is a chosen vessel to Me to bear My name before Gentiles and Kings, and sons of Israel. 9.16 For I will show to him as much as it is necessary for him to do concerning My name.” 9.17 And Ananias departed and entered into the house and after laying his hands upon him said, “Saul, brother, the Lord has sent me, the One appearing to you in the way which you came, thus you should receive your sight and be should be filled with the Holy Spirit.”
