John 12:25-50 – Light of the World

The one fond of his life will lose it. And the one indifferent to his life in this world into eternal life will guard it. ^12.26 If perhaps someone should serve Me, to Me he must follow. And where I am, there also My servant will be. And if someone serves Me, the Father will honor him. ^12.27 Now My soul is in a state of trouble and what will I say? Father, save Me out from this hour, but because of this I came unto this hour. ^12.28 Father, glorify Your name.” Therefore, a voice came out form heaven, And I have glorified and again will glorify.  ^12.29 Therefore the crowd, the one standing and having heard, said, “it was thunder.” Others said, “An angel spoke to Him.” ^12.30 Jesus answered and said, “This voice did not come because of Me, but because of you.” ^12.31 Now judgment is concerning this world. Now the prince of this world will be cast out. ^12.32 And I, if perhaps, I should be lifted out from the earth I will draw all men unto Myself.” ^12.33 And this He said, signifying to what sort of death He was about to die. ^12.34 The crowd answered Him, “We have heard out from the Law that the Christ remains into the age and how are you saying it is necessary the Son of Man to be lifted up? Who is this Son of Man?” ^12.35 Therefore Jesus said to them, “Yet a little time the light is with you. Walk while you have the light in order that darkness does not overtake you and the one walking in the darkness does not intuitively […]

John 10:30-33

I and the Father are one thing. Therefore, the Jews again took up stones in order that they should stone Him. ^10.32 Jesus answered them, “Many proper works I have shown you out from My Father, because of which of these works do you stone Me?” The Jews answered to Him saying, “Concerning proper works we do not stone you, but concerning blasphemy and because you, being a man, make yourself God.”

John 8:1-11

And at day break again He went into the Temple and all the people were coming. And having sat down He taught them. And the Scribes and the Pharisees brought to Him a woman caught in adultery and having stood her in the midst, saying to Him, “Teacher, this woman was caught, upon the very act, committing adultery. Now in the Law, Moses command to us such as these are to be stoned. Therefore, what do you say?” But they said this while tempting Him, in order that they should have to accuse Him. And Jesus while bending down wrote with the finger in the earth. And as He continued they kept asking Him. Having straightened up He said towards them, “The one among you without sin, let him cast the first stone upon her.” And again stooping down He wrote in the earth. And they, the ones hearing, also while being convicted upon the conscience, went out one by one, starting from the elder and ending with Jesus alone and the woman being in the midst.  And, after straightening up, Jesus said to her, “Woman, where are those your accusers? Has no one condemned you?” And the [women] said, “No one, sir,” And Jesus said, “Neither do I condemn you. Go and sin no more.”
