This translation is intended to give a clear understanding of the original language, taking into consideration all available manuscripts to reproduce the original letter Paul wrote to Rome. The original language should always be considered the only authority by which each word, phrase, and all other parts of speech are based upon. Where additional information is needed to better explain the meaning and use of a word, a footnote has been added.
Because the book of Romans was originally a letter, it has been returned to its original form to reduce confusion to the reader by breaks in the middle of sentences and concepts caused by the addition of chapters and verses. However, to ensure ease in finding sections within the letter while still avoiding breaking the original form of the letter, the chapters and verses have been superscripted along with the addition of paragraphs and punctuations. Brackets and paratheses are used for clarification within the text.

Within this letter we find the Gospel of the Christ, which goes beyond initial salvation into the Christian life. Paul explains why humans who reject God are so corrupt in their lifestyles, the fact that they will face judgment for their actions, and that we as Saints should reject their way of life, choosing to be holy and follow God rather than men. Paul also explains the fact that we have a Sin Nature. A part of us that seeks to do the things that are […]

The Persecution of the Church Begins

And they killed the ones announcing beforehand concerning the coming of the Righteous One, of Whom now betrayers and murders you have come to be

Acts 7:51-8:11

7.51 Stiff-necked and uncircumcised in the heart and ears, you are always falling against the Holy Spirit. As your fathers, also you. 7.52 Which of the prophets did your fathers not persecute? And they killed the ones announcing beforehand concerning the coming of the Righteous One, of Whom now betrayers and murders you have come to be, 7.53 you whoever received the law because of regulations from messengers and you did not guard. 7.54 And after hearing these things, they were cut to their hearts and began gnashed their teeth upon him. 7.55 And existing full of the Holy Spirit, while gazing into the heaven, he discerned the glory of God and Jesus standing out from God’s right hand. 7.56 And he said, “Look with discernment, I am watching the heavens after being opened and the Son of man in a state of standing out from the right hand of God.” 7.57 And crying with a load voice, they held their ears and rushed with one accord upon him. 7.58 And after casting him outside of the city, they began stoning him. And the witnesses laid their garments at the feet of a young man called Saul, 7.59 and continued stoning Stephen while he called and said, “Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.” 7.60 And after setting on his knees, he cried out with a load voice, “Lord, do not stand this sin to them.” And he fell asleep after saying this.

8.1 And Saul was consenting to his […]

Galatians

Galatians

1:1 Paul an apostle, not from men nor through men, but through Jesus Christ and God the Father, Who raised Him out from the dead, 1:2 and all the brethren with me, to the assemblies of the Galatia. 1:3 Grace to you and peace from God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ, 1:4 Who gave Himself concerning our sins, in order that He should deliver us out from the present malignantly evil age according to the desirous will of God even our Father, 1:5 to Whom the proper opinion (glory) into the ages of the ages. Amen.

1:6 I marvel that in this manner so quickly you change from the One who called you by grace of Christ into a different kind of gospel, 1:7 which is not the same kind; except, there are some who trouble you and desire to distort the gospel of the Christ. 1:8 But even if perhaps we or an angel out from heaven should bring good news to you which is alongside that good news already brought to you, it[1] is to be set aside[2]. 1:9 As I before said, and now again I say, “If, assuming it is true, someone brings good news to you alongside that which you have received, it is to be set aside.” 1:10 For now do I persuade men or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if yet I please men, I am not perhaps a servant belonging to Christ. 1:11 Indeed, I make known to you, brethren, the gospel, the good news brought by me, that it is not according to man. 1:12 For I did not receive it from man, nor was […]

Gospel of John – April 22 2018

John 12:25-50 – Light of the World

The one fond of his life will lose it. And the one indifferent to his life in this world into eternal life will guard it. 12.26 If perhaps someone should serve Me, to Me he must follow. And where I am, there also My servant will be. And if someone serves Me, the Father will honor him. 12.27 Now My soul is in a state of trouble and what will I say? Father, save Me out from this hour, but because of this I came unto this hour. 12.28 Father, glorify Your name.” Therefore, a voice came out form heaven, And I have glorified and again will glorify.  12.29 Therefore the crowd, the one standing and having heard, said, “it was thunder.” Others said, “An angel spoke to Him.” 12.30 Jesus answered and said, “This voice did not come because of Me, but because of you.” 12.31 Now judgment is concerning this world. Now the prince of this world will be cast out. 12.32 And I, if perhaps, I should be lifted out from the earth I will draw all men unto Myself.” 12.33 And this He said, signifying to what sort of death He was about to die. 12.34 The crowd answered Him, “We have heard out from the Law that the Christ remains into the age and how are you saying it is necessary the Son of Man to be lifted up? Who is this Son of Man?” 12.35 Therefore Jesus said to them, “Yet a little time the light is with you. Walk while you have the light in order that darkness does not overtake you and the one walking in the darkness does not intuitively […]

The Theological Forum is an annual three day event. The purpose of the Forum is that saints with an appetite for God and His Word might be edified through the presentation of papers.

Printed papers are written and an oral presentation of each paper is given. In April 2017 220 pages were presented and distributed. Papers will be available through the www.vbcoregon.org website after the Forum. The goal of the Forum is to examine the Word of God and to encourage saints to submit to the authority of the Scriptures and especially grace revelation (c.
